Preparing for your Visit
Tali Tails is excited to offer premium bathing, grooming and daycare services. To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for both you and your pet, we kindly ask you to follow our policies and preparation guidelines.
Before your First Visit
Desensitization
It's a good idea to get your dog used to being handled before bringing them in for their first visit to our salon. Help your dog become desensitized to noisy environments and unfamiliar people touching their paws and familiarize them with the sensation of trimming. Here's how you can do this:
- Rub an electric toothbrush behind their ears, along their back, on their toes and under their belly.
- Play with their paws.
- Play with their ears.
Your dog may not like you doing any of these things, so begin with short sessions of 5 to 10 min per day for a few days leading up to their appointment.
This will make it a lot easier for our professional groomers to bathe, groom and clip your dog’s nails.
Before you Arrive
- Avoid feeding your pet immediately before your appointment.
- Please ensure they're walked before arriving.
Our Policies
Dog Temperament Considerations
Our dogs love the cage free environment. Even if you are unsure how your dog will behave, we ask that you bring them to socialize. Most dogs transform their personality once off leash and our environment is very welcoming.
Please get in touch if you’re unsure whether Tali Tails is right for your dog.
Vaccination Records and Dog History
All pets must be current on their vaccinations; proof of vaccination is required for grooming and our doggy daycare services.
We may not be able to take in your dog if it has open wounds or recently underwent surgery.
Please get in touch if you’re unsure whether Tali Tails is right for your dog.
Appointment Courtesy
Life happens, and schedules change. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please contact us and let us know as soon as possible.
No shows with no cancellations will be charged a portion of their missed appointment onto their subsequent visit.
Prompt Pickup
After grooming is complete, we'll notify you by text. If you have errands to run, no problem - for $15, you can
leave your dog all day in our daycare.

Fleas and Ticks
If your dog is infested, we might recommend a topical flea treatment and to wait a few days before bringing them in again. We also offer flea baths for dogs needing flea treatments.
If we find fleas on your dog, your dog will need a flea treatment/bath. If this happens, we will first call you before moving forward.
During flea season, we ask that your dog is on flea medication for doggy daycare.
Our strict policies around fleas and ticks help ensure a clean and sanitary environment for all our dogs and staff.
Thank You!
We're committed to making your pet’s grooming experience as pleasant and stress-free as possible. We look forward to seeing you both!
